Transatlantic British Businesses Acknowledged by U.S. and UK Government at Virtual Roundtable

尝辞苍诲辞苍听鈥撎Today, the Charg茅听d鈥橝ffaires听of the U.S. Embassy in London, Yael Lempert, and UK Minister for Exports, Graham Stuart,听welcomed听a group of business representatives from across the UK to discuss their ambitions and achievements听as听businesses who have made the transatlantic corridor a听key element听of their growth听story.
The businesses present served as examples of the growing number of businesses and stakeholders who participate in the UK-wide trade campaign听Champions of Trade.
Developed by听BritishAmerican听Business, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in London,听Champions of Trade听brings听together UK businesses听from a range of sectors听and sizes, as well as听further trade stakeholders, to showcase the businesses, products and people that听are passionate about, and听contribute听to the strongest bi-lateral trade and investment relationship on Earth.
At听this afternoon鈥檚听virtual roundtable session, business leaders had听the unique opportunity to showcase their products,听stories听and ambitions听directly听to the听Charg茅听d鈥橝ffaires听and UK Minister for Exports听and talk to them about how transatlantic trade and investment is part of their future听growth,听bringing investment, innovation and growth to听UK, the U.S., and the local communities in which they operate.
Charg茅听d鈥橝ffaires,听U.S. Embassy in London听Yael Lempert said:
“U.S. and UK businesses have deep and broad relationships that provide millions of jobs for workers in both countries. In the wake of the pandemic, those partnerships will be more important than ever. This has been a tough year for our businesses, and we intend to do everything we can to help more U.S. and UK companies cross the Atlantic, find new opportunities and come back from this pandemic even stronger than before.”
听UK Minister for Exports, Graham Stuart said:
“Delighted to meet the Champions of Trade which includes some of the 32,000 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises across the UK already exporting to the U.S.
“From food to finance, UK exporters are showcasing the best of British in the U.S.
“The government is committed to making it easier for UK businesses to export goods and services to the U.S., particularly as we begin the economic recovery from COVID-19.”
